The Cornhill Highland Games fundraising Burns Supper held on Saturday 25th January has been hailed a success by organisers.
Guests enjoyed traditional haggis, neeps and tatties following the Presentation and Address of the Haggis and were entertained by guest speaker Brian Hutchison. Hipflask Ceilidh Band played a variety of traditional Scottish dance tunes and modern classics to keep the dancefloor busy throughout the night. Fundraising efforts on the night included a raffle and whisky bottle roll, generating over £300 for the Games funds.
The Games Committee would like to thank all local businesses for their support and donations towards the evening, this support is vital to the continuation of the Highland Games.
The 2020 Burns Supper has been provisionally scheduled for Saturday 25th January 2020 – a date for your diaries, more information to follow.
